SPIRE (Sustainable Process Industry through Resources an Energy Efficiency) is a European Association dedicated to innovation in resource and energy efficiency enabled by the process industries, whose mission is to ensure the development of enabling technologies and best practices along all the stages of large scale existing value chain productions. It represents innovative process industries, 20% of the total European manufacturing sector in employment and turnover, and more than 130 industrial and research process stakeholders from over a dozen countries spread throughout Europe
ITC-UJI is a member of the IRIAG (Industrial Research Advisory Group) committee. In the meeting, participant partners shared their working experience in several European projects and Enrique Sánchez talked about the REMEB project, which is an innovative and advanced wastewater treatment system using ceramic membranes, manufactured with wastes in a ceramic tile industry. Attendees also discussed about possible future funding opportunities for research and innovation developments.
The meeting made it possible to disseminate the project among international researchers and industries in European scientific and innovation committees.
