REMEB is expounded as a success story in the Horizon 2020 programme training workshop in Bogotá

On Wednesday 7th June, the REMEB project, aiming to develop and validate a low-cost membrane bioreactor based on different wastes in order to reuse wastewater, was presented at the training workshop on the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme in Bogotá.
Dr Sc Javier Rincón, from the Universidad Antonio Nariño, talk to the attendees about the REMEB project, financed by EU’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme under grant agreement 461998.
The workshop, addressed to researchers, academics and representatives of the business sector, had the participation of Viktoria Csonka, Representative of the European Union Delegation in Colombia, Claudia Romano, Cooperation Manager International and Projects of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay and Coordinator of the Network LAC PNC and Florencia Acosta, Horizon 2020 Project Officer of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay.
Horizon 2020 is the eighth framework programme for cooperation of the European Union and is the largest research and innovation programme in the European Union with a budget of almost € 80 billion for the period 2014-2020. Colciencias, organiser of the Horizon 2020 training workshop and as the Colombian National Contact Point coordinator, manages and opens spaces for the country’s scientific community to know the opportunities of the programme.
