REMEB boosts participation in H2020 programme in a workshop at Universidad Distrital, Bogotá

On 22nd November, 2016 Javier Rincón, Dr. Sci. Q. at Universidad Antonio Nariño, participated with the REMEB project in a workshop on good practices in Horizon 2020 programme, held at the Aduanilla de Paiba headquarters of the Universidad Distrital, to promote Colombia participation in the programme.

The workshop was organized in collaboration with Colciencias and the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA).

In the event speakers explained the great opportunity that the Horizon 2020 programme represents for Colombian researchers and entrepreneurs to extend scientific cooperation at an international level. The essential elements and structure of the H2020 programme were also described. ENEA presented the Agency’s work on renewable energies, climate change, development of new technologies and their transfer to industry, emphasizing the importance of collaborations at the international level in research and in transfer of results.

To conclude, several Colombian Horizon2020 successful stories were exposed, among them REMEB project, which was presented by Dr Javier Rincón, researcher at Universidad Antonio Nariño, Bogotá. Javier Rincón shared his experience with audience, by explaining the different stages from the preparation of a proposal to its approval and contributed with recommendations on how to contact potential partners. Finally, he gave details on the REMEB case describing the context in which it was born, the goals it pursues and the tasks to be carried out along the project.
