UAN participates in the H2020 LAC NCP Capacity Building Workshop
Universidad Antonio Nariño (UAN) has participated in the H2020 capacity building workshop in the framework of the Latin America and Caribbean National Contact Point Network yearly meeting
23rd-25th May of 2016, Bogotá – Javier Rincón from the Universidad Antonio Nariño, Bogotá, Colombia, was invited to participate as a speaker in the workshop “Main Colombia successful cooperation experiences & projects on R&I” regarding the European programme Horizon 2020. As a partner of REMEB project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, he explained the audience about REMEB project consortium experience in its different phases, from the preparation of the proposal to its implementation. His participation took place on 23rd May in Bogotá, Colombia, in the framework of the Yearly LAC NCP Meeting.
ALCUE NET (Latin America, Caribbean and European Union Network on Research and Innovation) main objective is to establish a European Union (EU) and Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) platform bringing together actors involved in research and innovation orientation, funding and implementation, as well as other relevant stakeholders from the public and private sectors and the civil society.
To increase the collaboration between researchers from CELAC and EU, ALCUE NET has a set of measures to support the development of skills and the creation of networks, such as the capacity building workshop.
The event counted on the presence of around 250 attendees, among which EU CELAC Country representatives, Official and non-official National Contact Points, researchers, projects coordinators, European Commission representatives, SMEs, Colombian stakeholders and others. Furthermore, the organisation enabled the monitoring of the workshop to those who were not able to attend it via streaming .
